3Outfitters West operates on private land leases and public land permits in several top-tier Game Management Units (GMUs) in Western Colorado, including:
Unit 40
We hold special use permits for big game hunting on over 325,000 acres of BLM land in Unit 40. This game management unit has attractive hunting success rates and trophy potential for mule deer and elk alike. Unit 40 is located on the western slope of Colorado in Mesa County, southwest of Grand Junction and bordering eastern Utah.

Units 41 & 421
On the Western Slope of Colorado, the north side of the Grand Mesa, and just east of Grand Junction are units 41 & 421. a large river bottom runs east and west through the unit with large mountains bordering it on the north and south that climb several thousand feet off of the valley floor. The majority of public land can be found on the north and south sides of the unit. Much of the central portions of this area are private and we lease as much as we can gaining us access to additional public BLM properties that are landlocked by private ranches. Animal populations found here can be comperable to unit 40 but a bit easier-to-draw licenses.

Managed for desert sheep hunting. 3OW holds a permits on the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers giving us exclusive river access and a unique opportunity to access these areas by jetboat unlike any other outfitter achieving a 100% SUCCESS rate to date.
