We offer multi-day fully guided hunt packages in Western Colorado’s game management unit 40. 

Packages include experienced guides, local lodging, meals, transportation during your hunt, and field care of your animal.

  • We hold special use permits for big game hunting on over 325,000 acres of BLM land in Unit 40. This game management unit has attractive hunting success rates and trophy potential for mule deer and elk alike. Unit 40 is located on the western slope of Colorado in Mesa County, southwest of Grand Junction and bordering eastern Utah. The mixed terrain has elevations from 4,600’ up to 9,700’ and is filled with sandstone canyons and rock formations as seen in the photo below. In the eastern lower elevation, cottonwood trees and willows line the riverbanks and creeks fading into a blend of pinyon pine, juniper, and sagebrush. The middle elevations are mostly sage and oak brush up to the higest elevation where you can see the true Colorado greenery of aspens, spruces, and firs.

      • on North by Colorado River

    • 1:2 Client to guide ratio gives you an additional guide to help scout and glass
